Brief update on the trust:

1. Vote on name.

Shelbourne fans will have an opportunity to name the club’s new supporters’ trust, with an online poll to determine the recently mandated trust’s name.

The steering committee of the trust have decided to open up the naming process to all. Fans will be able to submit potential names by emailing shelstrust@gmail.com, and a shortlist of names will be chosen by the committee.

From the shortlisted names, supporters will choose a winner via online vote. The process of choosing a name reflects the trust’s democratic principles- where all fans can have their say. The deadline for suggestions is 5PM on Friday the 23rd of November.

2. Volunteer lawyer required.

The steering committee would like to recruit a lawyer to assist with the registration of the trust;

The individual must be a qualified solicitor or barrister, with experience of company law and the registration of Industrial and Provident Societies (Co-ops) in particular. They should also be aware of and sympathetic towards the fans, traditions and history of Shelbourne FC. Expressions of interest can be emailed to shelstrust@gmail.com.
