The Committee of Management of The 1895 Trust would like to wish all Trust members, and all members of the extended Shelbourne family, a very Happy Christmas.
2015 has been a momentous year for the Trust.
In the summer we launched a major membership drive and achieved both membership goals – first 100 members and then 120.
Part of that membership drive was the launch of the new membership structure: whereby supporters can sign up to recurring monthly memberships at various price points.
The Trust celebrated Football People Weeks by inviting residents of the Mosney Direct Provision Centre to the match against Cobh, running an art competition for the cover of the club programme and producing a series of podcasts.
We also held a ballot to establish supporters’ preferred home ground for Shelbourne FC. This ballot was a central piece of our lobbying around the ground issue, which saw Trust representatives meet with the Lord Mayor and many other political representatives.
With over 130 members, the Trust is now in a very healthy position going into 2016. Our aims for the New Year will remain the same – to work for a sustainable future for our club.
To do that, we will need your help. With more members we can ensure that the voice of Shelbourne supporters will be heard when decisions are made regarding the club’s future. Memberships are available online and would make an ideal last-minute Christmas present for friends or family.
