Report from information meeting

Last night’s information meeting saw Shelbourne fans voice their concerns about the proposed move to Dalymount Park and the future of the club.

Supporters decided that the Trust’s ballot should contain a single multi-choice question – on supporters’ preferred home for the club – with the proposed question on ownership structures probably being rephrased to be more simplified.

The options available to the club were discussed, with attendees raising the possibility of alternate venues, including at Home Farm in Whitehall. The pros and cons of any move, including a move to Dalymount, were debated – with supporters agreed on the need for a ballot to find out which is the preferred option and establish a mandate for the Trust.

Further information on the ballot will be shared in the coming weeks – the ballot is planned to start on the day of Shelbourne’s first home match of the season (Friday March 6th, against Finn Harps.)
