We’ve assembled a list of answers to your questions about the upcoming launch of the Retro Jersey. If the question you have isn’t answered here just hit us up via social media or our contact form.
Is this an original jersey?
No. This is a loving recreation of the 92/93 jersey by O’Neills. The crest has been altered to replace SHELBOURNE with THE AULD REDS. It is otherwise identical to the original.
When is the Jersey on sale?
The 92/93 Retro Jersey is available for pre-orders from Friday Oct 15th.
1895 Trust members however, will have exclusive access to pre-order a jersey from Monday Oct 11th.
In addition, 1895 Trust members will have their jerseys packed and posted first.
How much does a Jersey cost?
Adult – Men’s €50
Adult – Women’s €50
Kids – €33 – €40
What are the proceeds of sales funding?
All profits go to The 1895 Trust.
What does pre-ordering entail?
Pre-ordering a jersey involves paying The 1895 Trust upfront for your jersey. We will then purchase the jersey on your behalf from O’Neills.
Trust volunteers will then pack and post your jersey to you. This process will take a number of weeks and we ask for your patience.
How many jerseys are going on sale?
There is no limit to the number of jerseys being sold. However, the sale window will be for a limited time only. Trust volunteers will need to pack and post the jerseys and with COVID-19 restrictions this will be challenging and we appreciate your patience.
When will I receive my jersey?
We are hoping to order the first tranche of jerseys from O’Neills just before Christmas. We are hopeful fans will begin to receive their jerseys shortly after this.
Fans living abroad may experience delays in receiving their jersey as due to COVID-19 the international postage system is slower than normal.
We ask for your patience with this process.
I live outside Ireland, can I buy a jersey?
Yes! We will be shipping to almost anywhere in the world. We have done our best to keep postage affordable.
We will do our best to meet our commitment to get purchases bought before the deadline to you before Christmas – we ask for your understanding with any postage delays.
Please note that there are a small number of countries that An Post cannot post to currently due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please consult An Post’s postage calculator if you are concerned your shipping address may experience issues and get in touch with us if that’s the case.
How can I pay for my jersey?
We will take payment online via debit and credit cards via Stripe. In addition, you can pay using Paypal.
With COVID-19 restrictions we cannot take any payments in-person or via cash. Exceptions may be made for individuals who do not have access to online payment methods – us the contact form to get in touch.
